TORRACCIA DEL PIANTAVIGNA
Garnet color and pleasantly spicy with light notes of violets and clean fruit notes of cherries. On the palate, it explodes with robust and persistent tannins that are settlign down with ageing in the bottle, giving a complex and elegant structure to the wine. This wine is already drinking well and will continue to develop with age.
The vigourous bouquet of sweet fruit and spice is clothed, although not hidden by the subtle vanilla aromas from long ageing in large french Allier oak casks. The taste is dry and sapid with a pelastant, bitter finish. Characterized by its youth but with exceptional balance that bodes well for its continued development.
Bright red with violet reflections . The nose denotes a pronounced aroma of red flowers, berries, spices and black pepper. Thanks to the degreasing effect of tannins, this wine goes perfectly with fatty foods such as typical cured meats, risottos and traditional seconds.
Aged for at least 24 months. Whilst it is made to be drank slightly younger than Ghemme and Gattinara, most vntages can be kept for many years. The nose is of ripe red fruits and violets with spicy notes.
